Cole Valley/Parnassus/Ashbury Heights

Climb the stairs at Haight and Baker and you’ll be rewarded with stunning views of the city, the GG Bridge, and Angel Island. The homes here include exquisite examples Victorians, Queen Anne towers, carriage houses, shingled Tudors, and colonial revivals. Parnassus/Ashbury Heights neighborhood is primarily residential, full of young families and professionals. On Halloween, streets are closed to traffic and attract thousands of kids and their families. Entire blocks are decorated. Most residents shop and dine downhill along nearby Cole Street in Cole Valley, the small markets on Parnassus, and the Haight. Golden Gate Park is a short walk away. Access to public transportation is excellent. The 37 bus stops on Buena Vista Avenue East and connects to Market Street buses and trolleys. The 7 bus stops at Haight and Baker Streets and travels downtown via Haight and Market Streets. The N JUDAH trolley that connects Ocean Beach to downtown San Francisco stops at Carl and Cole, which makes commuting quick.
