South Beach

South Beach is now San Francisco’s newest trendy and upscale neighborhood. Just south of the city’s Financial District along the San Francisco Bay, South Beach benefitted from the major boom in the late 20th century, as high-tech startups moved in and towering residential condos broke through the sky. Home buyers are easily seduced by the luxury high-rises and lofts that appear between designer furniture stores, art galleries, and nightclubs. South Park is the hub for the neighborhood. This little park consists of a playground, picnic areas and is surrounded by charming cafes and restaurants. The area is home to architects and designers, celebrities, photographers, restaurants and boutiques. Muni’s N-Judah streetcar takes off from the Caltrain Station at 4th and King Streets, whizzing residents along the waterfront and downtown. Freeway access is remarkably easy as well, making South Beach a commuter’s fantasy. The Embarcadero is bliss for cyclists, joggers, and walkers.
